When you sign up for DexBook, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, business name, and profession. We also collect information about how you use our service, including booking data and customer interactions.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve our booking services, send appointment confirmations and reminders, process payments, and communicate with you about your account. We never sell your data to third parties.

2.1 Calendar Integrations

If you connect your Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, DexBook will access your calendar list to let you choose which calendar to sync, create events for new bookings, and delete events for cancelled bookings. We store only the event IDs needed for synchronization and do not access or store any other calendar data.

2.2 Google Sign-In Data

When you sign up or log in using Google, DexBook receives only the information needed to create your account:

• Name — Used to personalize your account
• Email address — Used for login and account recovery
• Profile picture — Used for your account avatar

We do not:

• Share this data with any third parties
• Access your Google Calendar without your explicit permission
• Store your Google refresh tokens beyond what's needed for calendar integration
• Use this data for any purpose other than authentication and account personalization

Data Storage: Your Google data is stored securely in our database and is only used for: (1) creating and managing your DexBook account, and (2) enabling Google Calendar sync if you choose to connect it.

For calendar sync features, you authorize DexBook separately through Google's OAuth flow, which gives you full control to disconnect at any time.

2.3 AI Chatbot

If you use our AI Receptionist feature, your chat messages are processed by a third-party AI service to generate responses and complete bookings. Customer chat messages are not used to train AI models.

3. Data Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and analyze how our service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect certain features.
